The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is set to enhance its support for Ukraine by extending assistance to small and medium-sized businesses, amplifying grant programs for entrepreneurs, including those in de-occupied territories, and continuing export support initiatives. Discussions between Yuliia Svyrydenko, First Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of Ukraine, and Isabel Coleman, Deputy Administrator of USAID, underscored the agency’s commitment to fostering economic growth. The meeting emphasized the importance of attracting investments for post-war reconstruction, involving international financial institutions, and reinforcing the processing industry. Svyrydenko expressed gratitude for USAID’s ongoing efforts and highlighted the significance of monitoring sanctions against Russia. The conversation also explored the prospect of USAID engaging experts from major American banks to implement investment projects in Ukraine, aiming to further enhance the strategic cooperation and effectiveness of joint initiatives.
