President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has instructed Defense Minister Rustem Umierov, Commander-in-Chief Valerii Zaluzhnyi, and various Ukrainian ministries to collaborate on formulating a comprehensive mobilization plan for soldiers. This directive follows a press conference with Edgars Rinkēvičs, President of Latvia. President Zelenskyy emphasized the need for a systemic approach, having received a report on priority issues and required legal changes. He stated, “The systemic plan on this issue will be ready next week. I really hope [it will be ready] next week,” setting a deadline for Zaluzhnyi, Umierov, and the ministers to present a detailed report. In the background, Oleksii Danilov, Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine, had previously announced the impending demobilization of conscripts reaching the end of their service terms on November 24.
