This meeting would take place as President Zelenskyy prepares to address the UN General Assembly on September 25, where global security and Ukraine’s ongoing war with Russia are expected to be key topics. Zelenskyy has expressed a desire to present his peace plan to both US presidential candidates, Kamala Harris and Donald Trump.

Zelenskyy also hinted at a possible meeting with President Joe Biden during the assembly. Amid Ukraine’s struggle against Russia’s invasion, Zelenskyy continues to engage with key global leaders to secure support for Ukraine’s defense and future peace efforts.
