Russia strikes Kyiv as UK’s Starmer arrives to sign 100-year treaty with Zelenskyy
Russian drones targeted central Kyiv, where British Prime Minister Keir Starmer was holding talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. At least 1 drone was shot down, with debris destroying a car not far from the Mariinsky Palace, the President’s official residence where the leaders were meeting at the time. Witnesses said they heard the explosion from outside the building.

The British Army successfully trialed a demonstrator version of the Radio Frequency Directed Energy Weapons (RFDEW). The weapon uses high-frequency waves to disrupt or damage critical electronic components inside devices such as drones, causing them to be immobilised or fall out of the sky. EU concerned by report of Russia producing attack drones in China
A report that Russia is developing a China-backed attack drone program for the war in Ukraine is “deeply concerning,” a European Union spokesperson, Nabila Massrali, said. “If these reports are accurate, this would mean that Chinese companies are providing Russia with lethal assistance,” she added.
