On Friday, September 23, a fleet of 11 ships departed from the ports of Odesa, Chornomorsk, and Pivdennyi, carrying a substantial cargo of 201,000 tons of food supplies destined for countries in Asia and Africa. This significant movement was reported by the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine via their Facebook page.<\/p>\n

The vessels included the bulk carrier ZEKO Y from the Odesa port, while the Chornomorsk port saw the departure of MERRY M, LADY AYANA, MO GAN SHAN, TZAREVICH, GUDENA, NIL DEMIR, and SEA DOVE. From the Pivdennyi port, FORTUNA, GEM STAR, and MAVKA set sail, contributing to this large-scale export operation.<\/p>\n

Since the initial shipment of Ukrainian food products, a total of 4.58 million tons of agricultural goods have been exported. In total, 203 ships have left Ukrainian ports, delivering essential food supplies to nations across Asia, Europe, and Africa. This effort underscores Ukraine’s pivotal role in global food security, especially in regions facing severe shortages.<\/p>\n

Additionally, the fourth vessel chartered by the United Nations World Food Programme departed from the Odesa port on Thursday. This ship is specifically tasked with transporting Ukrainian wheat to Afghanistan, a country in dire need of food assistance.
