Denmark has announced plans to provide Ukraine with a second batch of F-16 fighter jets by the end of 2024, according to Danish Defence Minister Troels Lund Poulsen. This follows the initial delivery of Danish F-16s received by Ukraine earlier this year.
Poulsen, speaking to Ritzau news agency, did not specify the number of jets or the exact delivery date due to operational security concerns. Denmark is committed to supplying a total of 19 F-16s to Ukraine and, alongside the Netherlands, is spearheading an international coalition to train Ukrainian pilots on these aircraft.
As part of this initiative, Ukraine anticipates receiving up to 20 F-16s by the end of 2024, bolstering its aerial capabilities amid ongoing conflict.
