Ukraine has joined the Joint Statement on behalf of 59 states in support of the full implementation of the provisions of the Chemical Weapons Convention, including the prohibition of the use of riot control agents as a method of warfare. Ukraine has documented 4,950 incidents of Russia’s use of munitions containing hazardous chemical substances since February 2023.

In Crimea, the occupiers are persecuting 117 people in the “Hizb ut-Tahrir case” – human rights activists

The Crimean Tatar Resource Center has reported that Russia actively practices religious persecution on the peninsula. 117 individuals are currently at some stage of persecution. Russia has accused Crimean Tatars of being members of Hizb ut-Tahrir, who are banned in Russia as a terrorist organization but operate legally in Ukraine.
