According to recent nationwide polling, 90% of Ukrainians want Ukraine to join the EU, and 84% want Ukraine to join NATO. 46% of Ukrainians polled prioritize NATO membership for Ukraine over EU membership (22%) – Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS).

The European Union is under orders to launch its spy agency following a review of the bloc’s readiness for war and crisis issued by the former President of Finland, Sauli Niinistö. Russian President Vladimir Putin has been waging war in Ukraine on the EU’s eastern border for years now, and his operatives are active across the bloc, raising concerns about the ability of national agencies to predict malicious activity and influence.

European Commission to provide €35 billion to Ukraine as part of G7 pledge
“Relentless Russian attacks mean Ukraine needs continued EU support. The European Commission will provide a loan of up to €35 billion to Ukraine as part of the G7 pledge. This is another major EU contribution to Ukraine’s recovery” – European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.

EU to invest record €7 billion into sustainable, safe and smart transport infrastructure
The European Commission has selected 134 transport projects to receive over €7 billion in EU grants from the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF), the EU’s instrument for strategic investment in infrastructure. Several projects will enable greater capacity along the EU-Ukraine Solidarity Lanes, established to facilitate imports and exports between Ukraine and the EU.

MEPs call to strip Hungary’s EU voting rights amid Orbán’s ‘peace missions’
A group of 63 European Parliament lawmakers has urged the EU to withdraw Hungary’s voting rights in the bloc, in response to Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán’s recent visits to Moscow and Beijing.
