11,000 North Korean soldiers are currently stationed in the Russian Federation. These soldiers are undergoing training in various fields, including UAV operations, which will make them highly skilled and trained specialists upon their return to North Korea.<\/p>\n
They are stationed at training grounds in the Kursk region, where they are receiving both general military training and specific training related to UAV operations. After their return to North Korea, they will be able to instruct other soldiers in the North Korean army, which could result in a more efficient and effective military.<\/p>\n
As for their role in the combat zone, there are a few options:<\/p>\n
1. Participation in active combat operations on the territory of Ukraine.
\n2. Participation in active combat operations on the territory of Russia in the Kursk region.
\n3. Remaining in the operational reserve on the second line of defense, which still poses a danger to Ukraine by potentially allowing Russia to release more of its own soldiers for active combat operations.<\/p>\n
Currently, 2,000 North Korean soldiers are part of combat units, with 9,000 in the operational reserve. These soldiers have been sent to the Marine Corps brigade and the Airborne Forces division, which suggests that they have already joined the hostilities.<\/p>\n
There are also indications that the DPRK could send up to 100,000 soldiers to Russia, but this is not yet confirmed.<\/p>\n
Regarding the management of the North Korean soldiers, there are three generals in command, who are being kept hidden from the public.<\/p>\n
It’s been reported that the agreement between Russia and North Korea may involve Russia providing North Korea with nuclear technologies, food, modern weapons, and other supplies in exchange for North Korea’s military personnel, weapons, and equipment.<\/p>\n
Russia has used North Korean KN-23 ballistic missiles against Ukraine, with about 60 reported to have been used as of now. These missiles are not as accurate as modern models but still pose a danger to Ukraine.<\/p>\n
Finally, there are indications that Russia is highly dependent on North Korean artillery ammunition, which poses a significant danger to Ukraine.<\/p>\n
