Earning over $18 billion annually, the state-run corporation not only dominates nuclear energy production but also shapes global politics by financing and building nuclear infrastructure abroad. While Western powers target Russia\u2019s oil, gas, and banking sectors, Rosatom continues expanding unchecked.<\/p>\n
Rosatom controls roughly half of the global nuclear energy market, a staggering reach compared to its competitors. Of the 59 reactors currently being built worldwide, 26 are Rosatom projects, with most located outside Russia. Its business model ensures deep political leverage: the company provides design, construction, training, fuel supply, and even waste management\u2014while also funding the projects through low-interest or state-backed loans.
