Ukraine has secured the first installment of financial support from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) under a newly implemented four-year Extended Fund Facility. Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko confirmed on March 3 that this initial tranche of $1.5 billion is part of a larger $8.1 billion program aimed at financing priority budgetary needs and ensuring macroeconomic stability as Ukraine continues to defend against Russian aggression.<\/p>\n
