On November 8, the Ukrainian General Staff reported that Russian forces conducted 323 instances of chemical weapon use in October, bringing the total to 4,613 since the full-scale invasion began in February 2022. The report noted that Russia employs prohibited munitions such as K-51 and RG-VO, originally meant for counter-riot operations. This widespread use of chemical munitions has sparked international outrage, as it violates established norms under the Convention on the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons.
