Neutral Switzerland signs declaration to join European Sky Shield initiative
Switzerland has become the 15th member of the European Sky Shield Initiative (ESSI), a project which seeks to build a unified air and missile defence system across Europe. US and Germany foiled Russian plot to assassinate CEO of arms manufacturer sending weapons to Ukraine
US intelligence discovered earlier this year that the Russian government planned to assassinate the chief executive of a powerful German arms manufacturer that has been producing artillery shells and military vehicles for Ukraine, according to 5 US and Western officials familiar with the episode. The plot was one of a series of Russian plans to assassinate defence industry executives across Europe who were supporting Ukraine’s war effort, the sources said.
