In a recent incident on the night of November 19, Ukraine’s air defense forces successfully intercepted and shot down 15 out of 20 “Shahed-136/131” type UAVs launched by an unidentified enemy. The attack originated from the north, specifically the Kursk region in Russia, and targeted various regions including Kyiv, Poltava, and Cherkasy. This comes after a previous drone attack by Russian forces a day earlier, where 29 out of 38 Shaheds were eliminated through the efforts of air defense units. Serhii Popko, the head of the KMVA, reported that the anti-aircraft missile defense system effectively neutralized around a dozen enemy targets in Kyiv and its vicinity during the night drone assault. The details were disclosed in a summary released by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
