Russia Offered a Peace Deal that Resembled a Demand for “Surrender”

A draft of the peace deal offered to Ukraine at the start of the full-scale invasion in 2022 was leaked. The document effectively meant Kyiv’s capitulation. It called for Ukraine to reduce its army, and recognize the independence of Donetsk and Luhansk.
