As US and Ukrainian officials prepare to meet in Saudi Arabia this week, President Donald Trump has privately made clear to aides that a signed minerals deal between Washington and Kyiv won’t be enough to restart aid and intelligence sharing, according to an administration official and another US official. Russian drones targeted central Kyiv, where British Prime Minister Keir Starmer was holding talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. At least 1 drone was shot down, with debris destroying a car not far from the Mariinsky Palace, the President’s official residence where the leaders were meeting at the time. Witnesses said they heard the explosion from outside the building.
