The Kalush Orchestra, a popular Ukrainian band, recently announced on their Facebook page the successful auction of their Eurovision trophy. The band expressed immense gratitude to all participants who contributed to the auction, with special thanks directed towards the Whitebit team. This team emerged as the winning bidder, acquiring the prestigious trophy for a remarkable sum of $900,000.

The band encouraged their followers to support Whitebit, acknowledging their significant contribution and expressing appreciation for their support. The post concluded with a patriotic salute, emphasizing their pride in Ukraine and its armed forces.

The primary goal of the auction was to raise funds to purchase a set of three PD-2 drones. Initially, the Kalush Orchestra aimed to sell the trophy for EUR 1 million. Despite not reaching this target, the substantial amount raised will significantly aid their cause, contributing to the enhancement of Ukraine’s defense capabilities.

This initiative highlights the band’s commitment to supporting their country during challenging times, using their platform and achievements to make a meaningful impact. The sale of the Eurovision trophy not only demonstrates the power of community and collaboration but also underscores the importance of creative fundraising efforts in times of need.
