Russia continues to suffer significant casualties in its war against Ukraine, with 1,340 soldiers killed or wounded in the past 24 hours alone. According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Russian losses also included 39 armored vehicles, 35 artillery systems, and 20 tanks during the same period.
Since the start of the full-scale invasion in February 2022, Russia’s total combat losses have been staggering. Over this period, it has lost an estimated 639,480 military personnel, 8,725 tanks, and 17,132 armored combat vehicles.
Additionally, Ukraine reports the destruction of 18,212 artillery systems, 949 air defense systems, and 1,189 multiple-launch rocket systems. Russia’s air force has also suffered, with the loss of 369 fixed-wing aircraft and 328 helicopters.
Russia’s technological assets, including 15,469 UAVs and 2,593 cruise missiles, have also been severely impacted. These heavy losses reflect the ongoing toll of Ukraine’s determined defense and highlight the cost of prolonged military engagement. The Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to deliver strategic blows to Russia’s military capabilities while defending their homeland.
Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense is working to confirm these latest figures as the conflict continues. The data reveals a costly trend for Russian forces, suggesting continued struggles to maintain their offensive capabilities.
