Russian forces have significantly escalated their military operations against Ukraine, deploying approximately 1,700 attack drones, over 1,630 guided aerial bombs, and 95 missiles in the past week alone. Ballistic munitions comprised more than half of these missile strikes, underscoring the intensity of the ongoing conflict.

The latest wave of attacks involved 136 drones and eight missiles, targeting ten regions across Ukraine. A particularly devastating drone strike in Kharkiv resulted in one death and nine injuries, while emergency services in Kryvyi Rih worked tirelessly to extinguish a fire at a construction hypermarket.

President Volodymyr Zelensky, in a statement dated July 26, highlighted the critical need for anti-ballistic missile systems to counter these relentless assaults. He emphasized the importance of timely delivery of interceptor missiles, which are crucial in saving lives and thwarting Russia’s reliance on ballistic terror.

The overnight attacks caused widespread casualties and infrastructure damage. In Kharkiv, a drone strike on a residential area led to one fatality and nine injuries, including two children. Additionally, a separate drone strike injured a bakery delivery truck driver in the Shevchenkivskyi district.

In Kyiv, a ballistic missile strike injured three people in the Solomianskyi district, with debris causing fires and damage across several districts, including Desnianskyi and Shevchenkivskyi. The strikes damaged a warehouse, multiple vehicles, an abandoned structure, and the upper floors of an 18-story residential building.

Simultaneously, Russian forces targeted civilian maritime infrastructure in the Black Sea. On July 25, a double drone strike hit a civilian cargo ship in the Odesa region, which was transporting 2,800 tons of corn to Greece. While seven crew members and a Ukrainian pilot were rescued, a search continues for two missing sailors.
